the ticket (entry)
“La entrada” = the museum ticket. Many big museums (El Prado, Reina Sofía) have free entry at certain hours (often in the evening). “La entrada general” = full ticket.

the audio guide
“La audioguía” is rented; “la visita guiada” = a guided tour (a person), at set times. Ask which languages they're in.

“La exposición temporal” (often a separate ticket) vs “la colección permanente”. “El cuadro” = the painting; “la sala” = the room.
el guardarropa el guar-da-RRO-pa
the cloakroom
Backpacks and large bags must be left at “el guardarropa” (often free). Flash photos are usually forbidden.

The museum “plano” is often free at the entrance. Ask where the key works are (“las obras principales”).
