An ambulance is called free of charge via “112”. “Chiami un'ambulanza!” is the lifesaving phrase.

At the “pronto soccorso” triage gives a code: white/green (minor) → yellow/red (serious). EU citizens are treated with the “tessera sanitaria” / EHIC card.
