“La pastilla / el comprimido” = a pill. “Dos veces al día” = twice a day; “después de las comidas” = after meals.

the plaster (band-aid)
Simple items (plasters, gauze, disinfectant) are always over the counter. “La tirita” is a brand that became the common word.

the thermometer
Fever in Celsius: 37°C normal, from 38°C it's a fever. “Tengo fiebre” = I have a fever.
